Bahia is a child of the third culture. Her diverse background and deep interest in others have helped her to understand the influence of architecture on the way people feel. She became aware of the architect’s responsibility and how architecture and its practice can contribute positively to society, wherever it may be. She has brought this attitude to the different places she has worked, adapting quickly to different offices and teams, and thriving particularly in collaborative environments. With great attention to detail and a love for graphic design, before L’OEUF, Bahia was responsible for producing and overseeing drawings in all phases of the process, from visualization development to setting office standards, despite her few years of experience. Her interests and strengths were demonstrated in her thesis project, where she wrote a graphic novel with the conviction that architecture and its various representations can be accessible, inclusive and fun.
She is now honing her interests at L’OEUF, starting with NAN Housing, a collaborative housing project with the Nishnawbe Aski Nation for aboriginal communities in northern Ontario.
