Amy Oliver

Amy holds a doctorate in planning from the Université de Montréal and divides her time between practice and teaching.

She has several years of experience in research on affordable housing and sustainable construction. She has particular expertise in sustainability frameworks and teaches at the University of Montreal at the Master’s level in the architecture program – sustainable communities stream. In 2018, she was the recipient of a Mitacs Acceleration grant for the project “The impact of decisions made during architectural design on building operations: The case of the Maison du développement durable in Montreal” – a partnership between the organization Équiterre and the Fayolle-Magil Chair at the University of Montreal.

Amy worked at l’OEUF intermittently between 2014 and 2018 and returned full time after her PhD defence where she works on various types of projects, from affordable housing renovation, post-occupancy studies, integrated design processes and citizen participation, and energy efficiency studies.
